Emergency Ward 10

The Beastly Beasts household is like Emergency Ward 10; well, that's what dad says. Maple went to the vets on Friday to "be done". Not exactly sure what that means, but it sounds not nice, and when she came back she was all red and blue and purple underneath, and had loads of stitches in her tummy. And while she was being done she had five teeth out. Apparently she's also got a touch of Ginger's Vitals - whatever they may be, but she's got tablets for it.

And Jack's been limping the last few days, and very unusually for him, been a bit quiet. So he went with Maple to the vets. Turns out he had a corn in one of his pads, and on Monday he had that cut out - that also sounds painful. So now he's got a big green club foot what with all the bandages and stuff. But already he's starting to perk up and go a bit mad again. Which means he's taking toys into the garden that I have to go and get and bring in again when he's finished, 'coz he's useless at clearing up.

Anyway, dad said something about us all having to go on half rations for the next few months so he can pay the vet bills. I hope he's joking!!

Hiya Kai,
Hope Mabel and Jack are feeling better after their ops. Mum says she will know how Maple feels soon as she is going in to be spaded next week. My friend Gracie girl says that she won't be able to have puppies then, which is a shame as I like puppies in the house! Anyway best wishes to them both for a speedy recovery!

It's been a tough summer for us dogs what with all the heat and stitches. Roll on thos miserable days when we all get together for a walk on the Beacon or Melton Park. Keep smiling
