BeastBreak 2006 - Days 1 and 2
We met Carol and Trevor then they showed us around the house, and very nice it is too; a big garden we can run around in with views out over the fields; even Monty - Mr. Home Boy - thought it was OK, and Maple quite liked Carol. We left mum and dad to get our stuff in while we explored a bit, then we went out with dad while mum got things sorted.

Troy checks out the sleeping arrangements
We found a huge field were we all had a good run, then wandered on for a bit, but to be honest we were all pretty tired. So back home and some tea and we were ready for bed.
Today we didn't get up very early, but when we did Maple was raring to go; she managed to wind Monty up until he played with her, then we had good fun running into the garden and barking at a cat, then running back in again. Later on we went out to the beach. We were going to go to Whitesands, but when we got there the man at the car park said we weren't allowed on until the end of the month - not much use as we are only here for a week - so we went to Newgale, which while we were allowed on the beach, we couldn't have a run around. This was Troy's and Maple's first time on the beach. Troy was normal Troy, just wanted to get to the other end - which was a long way, but he didn't like the waves coming in around his feet. Maple wanted do drink the sea - not the best idea.

Beasts on Newgale Beach
We met some nice people and their owners: first we met Brychan, a very handsome lurcher chap (like me), and his sister Carys. We had a nice sniff with Brychan, Carys just stood there and barked. Then we met Marley - he'd come up with his owner from near Bristol so he could go fishing.

While beach was nice, it was a bit frustrating not to have a run, so we got dad to take us out when we got back home. And boy, did we go on a walk? We went to the fields we found last night, then we went through some woods and into some more fields, then onto a path surrounded by bracken, then more woods and more fields. When we got back after a hour and a half we were ready for tea. Monty's already gone to bed, Jack's snoring, and I'm not far behind them.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow already, and hopefully we'll meet Waj and his gang - mum and dad already have.
Bye,
Kai
