Cotwolds Water Park
And we go on nice walks were we meet nice dogs and their humans; today we went quite a long way to where there was lots of water we could play in.
Last night Guiness turned up with Autny Claire, and Guiness stopped with us. We like Guiness 'coz she's a good laugh and a bit cheeky. So for today she became a Beastly Beast for a day, and we lent her one of our bandanas as we were off out. Dad also gave her a wash and brush 'coz she fell in the pond - she did smell a bit; us girls have to look our best when we go out.

We went to a water park in somewhere called the Cotswolds. Lots of lakes to play in, and we walked round one.

Meeting up
There was loads of dogs there. Usually most of the dogs are like us when we go on big walks, but today they were all shapes and sizes. There were some dogs we know like Poppy and Bumpy and Spike and Cherry, and loads of new ones - which was fab as I like meeting lots of new friends. And some had come from a long way just to meet up.
We went round a big lake, and at some places we could get into the water and play. This is two new friends, Benjy and Teddy, playing in the water.

I went in for a paddle and a splash with Murphy - ohhh girls, he is a hunk!! He's got a twinkle in his eye that let's you know he's good fun to be with and he is drop dead gorgeous, yet he is also the perfect gentleman (shame!!), and played with me and Daisy and others really nicely.

Murphy
He was a bit naughty though, and found a muddy spot to roll in right at the end of the walk, but somehow I think that's just Murphy.
Daisy. Now there's a lady I want to be like. I'm seven and a bit and she is twelve. And if there was anything happening she was there; she ran around and played chasing games with the boys like a girl half her age. It looks like she is growing old disgracefully - good for her I say - and I hope I'm doing that kind of thing when I'm twelve.

We also met Mya and Nala. I'd met Nala at the Greyhound Gap Show in April, but to be honest I can't remember 'coz I was still so scared of everything at that time. Mya is funny - her favourite pastime seems to be winding up Nala.

And we also met Snatch and Ruby. The other Beasts had met them back in September last year, but first time for me. Now, I'm not being funny, but aren't they small? Seems a very funny shape for a dog if you ask me. Mind you, Snatch is a great laugh, and joins in with all the other dogs.

And we met Todd and Misha and Meg. We found out later that Misha was a bit scared of us to start with - of us??!! Love, there's no need to be scared of us - honest.

Near the end of the walk some of the humans sat down for a bit, and we were joined by Lola. She wasn't on the walk as such, but decided to join - more the merrier I say. She was a laugh as well, and gave Mya a good run for her money.

We had some sausages and stuff there too, so it was a nice place to stop for bit before heading back. Troy decided to sit on dad's lap for a bit, much to the amusment of the humans - apprently not many greyhounds do that.
Back at the cars we has more treats, and Aunty Wendy found a big bucket of stuff that we all shared.
We also had a chat with Ozzie. Ozzie is like I was six months ago - a bit scared of life and looking for a new home. 'Coz I know what it's like being with friends, and in my case family (Troy is my cousin), I wanted him to come home with us. OK, he's pretty good looking too, even if he isn't a pure greyhound. I hope everything works out for him.

But of course all good things come to an end, so it was soon time to head off home. I hope we can meet up like this again soon - it's nice meeting different dogs and their humans.
Bye for now. Love,
Maple
