BeastBreak 2007 – Days 1 and 2
My Aunty Beryl couldn't meet us as she was looking after Jason as his mum and dad were out, but I?m looking forward to seeing her again soon.
It’s a long way here, so after a walk down the fields and some tea we all crashed out.
Today was a bit of a slow start – well, we are on our holidays. You'll never guess who we’ve got as a neighbour this week (you won't – honest); Beano – the Beano who we met when he was little and staying with Lynne and Colin, and who Monty was up against for the Handsomest Black Hound at April's Gap show. Monty might be my mate, but against competition like he didn't stand a chance.
This afternoon the sunshine came out and we went to the beach. It was a little bit sad because Maple wasn't here to enjoy it – and she was so looking forward to going to the beach again, but we had a nice time. No-one else really wanted to play much – I think they were all a bit tired after the journey yesterday.

We did meet two very handsome lurchers that looked like they had to be twins: Coyote and Dingo – brilliant names. They were very polite and waited for us as we walked down the path. Shame they were on their way home as I think they might have been fun to play with.

On the way home mum went to the human hunting ground, and like they always do, managed to capture lots of stuff for them to eat. We stood outside with Dad while she hunted and lots of people came and said hello. One lady said she thought that we were all very lovely – she liked my beard, but her favourite was Rosie; that girl certainly has something about her.
This evening, as we went for a walk down the fields, we met Carol and Trevor – the humans that look after this place for us hounds. it was nice as they remembered all our names and knew Lucy's, Mack's and Rosie's. Trevor liked Rosie a lot, and when they came round for tea (we'd had ours by then) he made lots of fuss of her. Like I say, that girl has something.
Time for bed now; plan for tomorrow? Beach – Yeah!!

So glad you are having such a good time! You all deserve it. Sending lots of love. xxx
looks like you lot had a great time, wish I could have been there.
I've been having fun with my new parents. The young human has started having packed lunches for school and i'm fantastic at finding them and eating them just before he has to leave for school.
My human mother's mother has moved in so the house is crazy and she forgets I can reach everywhere. I had four fantastic aberdeen angus steaks yesterday (their dinner) Miss you all
your loving ex-foster Dino
