Crimbo
We had a slow old start to the day having been out for wander at Salcey yesterday. We wanted to get straight to the pressies, but dad said no - we had to wait for mum as she had gone to see her dad; dad can be a real meany sometimes - what else is Christmas day about? OK, back in Oz it's the beach and stuff, but that's not exactly the top option over here is it?
So we went over to Salcey and pretty much had the place to ourselves so had a great time. Back home dad carried on with getting the Christmas tucker ready, and we were in line for some.
At last it was time for the pressies. We'd joined in two Secret Santa's - one for Greyhound Gap and one for Sighthounds Online. We'd had a great time sortin' out what we were going to send, and all the parcels turning up for us over the last few weeks had been dead exciting.
So suitably relaxed from a charge around Salcey (apart from Monty - poor old boy still ain't allowed to go for it 'coz of his leg) and stuffed with turkey and roast potato, we got down to the serious business of the day - presents; and mates, did we do all right or what?

Me in my Bandana
We all got loads of treats (dad said we could have some later), Troy got a fab collar with bells on and a squeaky, Kai, Monty, and Rosie got squeaky toys too, Rosie got some cool tassles, I got a fab bandana, and Mack bagged himself a very stylish coat; we'd like to say thanks to all our Secret - well, sort of secret; we know who most of you are now - Santa's.

Mack with a Toy
Poor old Rosie, she was a bit overcome by it all and just sat cuddling her duck.

Rosie with her Duck
The rest of did what all good hounds do and set about disembowling the squeaks. And I've gotta say that while Kai is persistent, for sheer enthusiasm Troy takes some beating.

Except for Monty that is; it was all a bit much for 'im so he had a kip.

Monty - Crashed Out
Must go as we are about to head out on our Boxing Day walk; we're goin' to meet up with some Gappers. Merry Christmas from all of us, and enjoy your Boxing Day.
