The Beastly Beasts

The weather for the past couple of days has been pretty average and walks have been down the fields followed by a good towel; nothin' else to say about days 5 and 6 really.

Today was different; today was as good as it gets and what being on holiday here is all about.

Aunty Carol and Uncle Trevor had gone off on their hols, so dad was helping out Andy walking their pack. He's got a real soft spot for Waj and I was bit surprised when dad arrived back home without him.

Then it was our turn for a trek over the fields and down into the valley. It was one of those days when it feels just bonzer to be alive - the sun was warm, the fields were empty and the world was ours.

The fields were great, but if you're a regular BeastBlog reada you'll know there is only one place for me; on the beach with my boys, and today was it. OK, we'd gone to Druid Haven the other day which was nice, but today was Marloes Sands and a chance to really get the sand in between our toes.

It was early evening, the sun was still shining and the tide was just going out so the sand was nice and firm - just bonzer for running games - even mum joined in though she didn't really stand a chance.

The guy that ya gotta hand it to is Monty. Nearly a year back he came a gutser and broke his leg then spent almost six months on the mend. You wouldn't have know it toady; the boy was givin' it hundred per cent.
