Blue Cross Assesments

You probably know that most of us are now PAT dogs (not that we've done a visit yet mind). Dad - in his wisdom - decided that we should also be volunteers for The Blue Cross on their Children's Education Programme. This would mean we get to go to schools and youth clubs and help show children what it means to really look after dogs and other pets so they will do it properly; we think that's a good thing.

Like being a PAT dog we had to go and be assessed to see if we are up to the job. Today was the day and we met a very nice lady called Tracy at Pets at Home (where we do our Christmas Meet and Greet for Gap).

I went in first and, like dad said it would be, it was quite like the PAT dog assessment; being nice to people, not taking a treat until we were told to, not getting scared if something clattered, that sort of thing. One bit that was new was having lots of people round us clapping and cheering and stroking us. None of us minded that one bit!! :-))

Troy and Mack said they quite liked the rabbits that were in a big glass cage and wanted to spend lots more time looking at them.

Afterwards Tracy said we were all really good and should make good helpers when dad does his stuff. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long before we start doing things.
