The Beastly Beasts

Whoo Hoo!! How lucky can a girl be? We're back at Dumpledale, and this time we've come well early. It's Aunty Carol's birthday this weekend and mum and dad have come for the rave and Aunty Carol said we could come down a couple of days early. Normally we stay in Swallow's Dance, but we are in Wynne's Cottage - the new place - until the weekend 'coz someone else is in Swallows dance then; 15 dogs and a lady called Wendy (Kai, Monty, Jack and Troy have met Wendy before). When we arrived Uncle Trevor came to see us and made a big fuss of me; I well like Uncle Trevor.

Dad unloaded Beast Bus then mum sorted stuff out while we all went off down the fields; it's a long journey and being able to stretch our legs was nice. Only thing was that Mack managed to get a couple of nasty nicks in his skin - not serious like but a bit red.

One of the nice things about Wynne's Cottage is the floor - it's all rough and makes for a grand back massage. Dad called me a tart - which I don't think is very nice.

Next morning I discovered another good thing about Wynne's Cottage - you can see who comes and goes and when. Dad called me a curtain twitcher and said he was going get me hair net and curlers for Christmas.

Then it was off down the fields again. This morning was nice and sunny but according to Uncle Trevor - he knows everything - it wasn't going to be nice much longer.

In the afternoon we did something well special. We went to the beach at Newgale Sands. When I say we I mean:

Ruby, Feh, Kim, Lily, Freya, Zak, Zebedee, Rosie, Suzie, Misty, Max, Shayla, Ivy, Bayleaf, and Jess from Cardiff, and:
Sid, Chloe, and Miya from Sussex, and:
us.

Yep, 25 hounds (and some humans) on the beach - how cool is that?

I must apologise to Misty; I did have words when she took me a bit by surprise. Dad wasn't best pleased with me for that.

Then back for some snap and curl up for a snooze. And yeah; a few people have commented in the past that I'm a big lass, but I'd like to point out that that doesn't mean I take up the most room - just check out Lucy (smallest Beast) sprawled out on the sofa while I curl up in the chair.
